First day to first week
Medical care and immediate proof
What should happen before insurance writes the first story?
Health comes first. Once the rider is safe enough, the goal is to keep the crash from becoming a memory contest: scene photos, witnesses, report information, tow details, helmet and gear, and early medical records.
What you can do
- Get medical care and follow discharge instructions.
- Save police, tow, hospital, ambulance, and insurance contact information.
- Preserve the motorcycle, helmet, gear, phone, camera, and damaged clothing.
What the legal work is doing
- Identify urgent evidence before video, vehicles, or gear disappear.
- Sort out who is calling from insurance and what they represent.
- Look for early rider-blame arguments before they harden.
Do not guess about speed, fault, distance, pain level, or future treatment while you are hurt, medicated, or missing facts.
